The Artist’s Way (1st Impression)

During my search for inspiration and new life experiences, I’ve started to look for content about creativity and self-discovery.

One of the first books I found myself reading was The Artist’s Way, from Julia Cameron. This book was first published in 1992 in order to help artists with their creative blocks. I’m not an artist, but I feel a lack of creativity during my only-studying-and-working-life.

Cut to me today, after one week of reading the book, writing the morning pages and taking myself on artist dates. Besides that, I started to write here at Medium and also started painting: something I’m bad at, but I absolutely love doing. Also, I’m buying wall paint and I’m planning on changing the color of my bedroom next Saturday.

I read the book only until page 70 (a.k.a Week 1) but I already feel the change. In fact, I feel more like myself again.

Have you already read this book? Any other book recommendations?
