Let the new experiences begin

Hi there,

As this is my first Medium post, it looks right to start with a quick presentation.

I’m Anelise, 27 years old, Brazilian born and raised, digital marketing professional, a writer in the free time. And also, a perfect expression of capitalism.

Coming from a low-income family, I did what I was supposed to do: studied a lot and built a career based on ethics and hard work. And it worked. I mean, today I am independent, live in a big city, have a good job and a comfy home.

BUT…

Now that I have space and time to think, I noticed there’s something I lost in this process.

I did what was right: studied from 7am to 11pm during high school, learned English and Spanish, learned how to code, got a scholarship in one of the best-ranked universities in the country, kept studying while being an intern in several companies (big and small ones) to be prepared for the ever-competitive job market.

But I think I lost a part of myself, in fact. What about what was true? The real expression on myself? What do I like to do? What is my passion? Favorite hobby?

Well, that’s my 2021. I’m up to new experiences. And I’m sharing them with you :)
